FreedomWorks Claims Victory In Wisconsin

March 14, 2011

Matt Kibbe and Dick Armey - FreedomWork's "Brain" trust

I signed up for FreedomWorks a while back under the name Cons R. Liars (haha). Anyway, I receive the newsletters and updates via e-mail. Interesting stuff…
I got a letter from “Dick Armey” over the weekend claiming “victory” in Wisconsin. I found it entertaining since it still discussed “fiscal sanity” despite the nature of the “victory” and Scott “Worst Person In the World” Walker’s own admission that it wasn’t about the budget. Is that self-delusion, do you think, or deluding the masses?

“Over the past month, Wisconsin has been at the center of a national debate about our future: Would we cave to union bosses and special interests or would we side with the taxpayers and a new course towards fiscal sanity?”

The letter closes by asking for a donation of $25 or more to help with the ongoing fights in Indiana, Ohio and other states.  The fight’s not over and the right knows it.  We can’t afford to roll over now.
You can help with the fight too. You can send me $25, though I really don’t recommend it. Or you can click on the “WeAreOne” button at the top of this page and find out how you can help the AFL-CIO in their efforts.

The fight, at least over this issue, IS over; and we lost.

well, yes… I see your point. However, the recall effort in wisconsin is still important and the fights in other states are still ongoing.

I agree. Perhaps I should have said, with regard to Wisconsin, for now.
