Ohio GOP Votes to Limit Workers’ Rights and Women’s Rights

    More attacks on the middle class. Was that a campaign promise? “We vow to make it our first priority to take spending power away from the consumer class! This will decrease demand and give us an excuse to continue giving more money to the wealthy and corporations!” I don’t remember that; I thought they promised jobs.

The Ohio House voted 53-44 to approve Senate Bill 5 to prohibit strikes by all public workers, limit what they can talk about at the negotiating table, and require them to pay at least 15 percent of their health-care premiums.     The root of this problem is that Democratic lawmakers have no spine and some of us think they are no better than the republicans. I voted. I always vote, but most people don’t give a shit when the Democrats act like republicans anyway.

      I couldn’t agree with you more. Well said. You expressed the way that I often feel exactly.

      It is far too easy to become disheartened and disgusted with what passes for Democrats in this country today. Many so-called “Democrats” are basically Neo-con Republicans in Democrats’ clothing. There are very few true liberals these days (even in the White House), let alone any who dare to actually grow a spine and stand up for liberal principles, and true liberal ideas.

      As the only liberal talk show host on my local radio station often says, “There’s not a dime’s worth of difference between them.”
